President Donald Trump on Wednesday is expected to sign an executive order that officially ends all federal taxpayer benefits to illegal migrants, White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt confirmed.

The order is expected to instruct all federal agencies to review their policies and programs in order to eliminate any benefits that go to illegal migrants, including ensuring that money that goes to states is not used to "support sanctuary policies."

The directive will also require agencies to improve their eligibility verification processes to prevent federal funds and benefits from going to the illegal migrants, including public health benefits, for which the House Homeland Security Committee estimated taxpayers could pay as much as $451 billion, per Fox News.

"The surge in illegal immigration, enabled by the previous Administration, is siphoning dollars and essential services from American citizens while state and local budgets grow increasingly strained," a White House fact sheet states.

Leavitt confirmed the end to federal benefits in a post on X, stating there will be "no more federal benefits to illegal aliens."

The White House also noted that the Federation for American Immigration Reform estimated that Americans are paying a total of $182 billion annually to cover the costs imposed by illegal migrants, including costs to shelter and feed them.
