Trump fumes over vandals striking World War II Memorial

President Donald Trump on Friday raged over vandals striking the World War II Memorial in Washington, D.C.

Authorities cleared the memorial site on Thursday after someone filled the fountains with foaming soap and spray-painted political messages on the memorial.

"Our beautiful World War II Memorial was just hit by Spray Painting Vandals. THERE CAN BE NO GREATER INSULT TO THOSE AMERICAN HEROES WHO DIED IN WORLD WAR II," he posted on Truth Social. "First the Reflecting Pool, now this. We are on their trail! Where do these animals come from???"'

Several monuments in Washington, D.C., have faced alleged acts of vandalism amid Trump's efforts to restore key sites and revitalize the nation's capital city.

Much of the unrest has centered on the Reflecting Pool, which he has renovated as well. The two monuments are within walking distance of one another on the National Mall.
