The Dallas Police Department responded to a shooting Tuesday afternoon at Wilmer-Hutchins High School.

The Dallas Fire Department told CBS News that at least four people were injured in the shooting, including two people who had injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening. The status of the injured people was not immediately clear. It is also not clear if the victims were students, staff, or a mix.

There have been no reported fatalities so far, and no clear details on the shooter have been disclosed.

The Dallas Independent School District confirmed the incident in a post on X.

"Safety protocols have been implemented, and we are asking everyone to refrain from coming to the campus. Reunification plans will be shared shortly," reads the post.

The district added in a separate post that the school is now secured, and parents and guardians can reunite with their children.

"We understand this is a difficult time and ask for your patience," the school district said. "Counselors are on site and available for anyone who may need support."
