McDonald's security guard charged with murder after shooting someone he first asked to leave
The security guard is currently being held without bond and as of now his attorney is not listed.
A security guard at a McDonald's in Maryland has been charged with murder after he fatally shot a person whom he first asked to leave the restaurant this past weekend.
The shooting at the restaurant in Hyattsville, Md., occurred Saturday night, according to a local NBC News TV affilitate.
Authorities say the person whom the security guard asked to leave “was often asked to leave due to loitering.”
The confrontation reportedly started when the guard pepper sprayed the victim.
According to a court document obtained by the news outlet, five minutes after the guard spray the victim, the two got into a physical altercation, with the guard striking the victim several times with a baton. They exchanged blows before the guard shot the victim in the chest, the document also states.
The incident was captured on video, also according to the document.
The victim has been identified as Ricardo Clemons Jr., 45. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The security guard has been identified as Murwanashyaka Francois who, is being held without bond.
