Dana White: UFC 'definitely' hosting fight at White House on July 4
"It is definitely going to happen," UFC CEO Dana White said
Ultimate Fighting Championship CEO Dana White said that the mixed martial arts organization will "definitely" host a fight at the White House on July 4, 2026.
"It is definitely going to happen," White told "CBS Mornings" on Tuesday.
He said he spoke with President Donald Trump on Monday about the event and plans to meet with him and Ivanka Trump later this month to finalize details and review venue renderings.
Last month, Trump announced that he would host the first UFC fight at the White House as part of the U.S.'s 250th birthday celebration.
"When he called me and asked me to do it, he said, 'I want Ivanka in the middle of this,'" White said. "So Ivanka reached out to me, and her and I started talking about the possibilities, where it would be and, you know, I put together all the renderings."
White's announcement comes as UFC is finalizing a seven-year streaming deal with Paramount worth an average of $1.1 billion annually. The UFC has traditionally used a pay-per-view model. Select events will be simulcast on CBS.
White said the Paramount deal was "one of the massive, major milestones in my career and in the history of the sport."
