President Donald Trump on Friday announced that the FIFA World Cup 2026 draw will take place at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C.
During the announcement, FIFA President Gianni Infantino on Friday presented Trump with the first ticket to the final match of the FIFA World Cup in New York City.
"We want people to come and enjoy and have fun, and that's why this is not just the most iconic trophy in the world of sport, but we start on the 10th of September the sale of tickets for the FIFA World Cup, and we have the first ticket here for the final for you," he told Trump in the Oval Office.
"It's, of course, row one, seat one is ticket number 45-47, and it's for the final in New York, New Jersey," he added. "So you have your ticket already for the final. All the others, 10th of September, start getting your tickets."
Trump and Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem also assured the public that DHS would work to expedite relevant visas to bring in international crowds for the event.
