Cracker Barrel drops interior remodels amid logo backlash
The company further highlighted that it had only tested the remodel in four locations and would not move forward with further remodels as the chain still reels from outrage over its botched rebrand.
Restaurant chain Cracker Barrel is ditching its interior remodels after customers voiced their opposition.
"Today, we're suspending our remodels. If your restaurant hasn't been remodeled, you don't need to worry, it won't be," the company announced in a press release. "We heard clearly that the modern remodel design does not reflect what you love about Cracker Barrel."
The company further highlighted that it had only tested the remodel in four locations and would not move forward with further remodels as the chain still reels from outrage over its botched rebrand.
The company last month was the subject of national ridicule after it unveiled a sterile rebrand that eliminated the old man that has long featured alongside the company name. The planned logo appeared generic and public furor grew so great that even President Donald Trump weighed in to urge the company to reverse course.
