Tea Party Patriots Action is ramping up efforts to train poll watchers and poll workers ahead of November’s midterm elections, with events planned across several key battleground states.
The conservative grassroots group plans to train hundreds of people in Nevada next week, following earlier sessions in states including Georgia, Ohio and Texas.
Additional training is planned in Arizona, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Michigan and Wisconsin.
Founder Jenny Beth Martin told the Washington Examiner that the group expects its in-person sessions to reach roughly 800 to 1,000 people, while online training and recruitment could reach as many as 8,000.
