The Senate GOP is hitting Sen. Jon Ossoff, D-Ga., over his response to antisemitism and a recent terror attack in Colorado.

The Peach State's first Jewish senator, Ossoff has struggled to maintain support among Jewish Democrats, with some even writing to Gov. Brian Kemp, R-Ga., asking him to run for Senate. Though he proudly embraced his status as the state's first Jewish senator, he has been less vocal about Israel-Gaza issues.

"[Jon Ossoff's] silence on the antisemitic terror attack in Colorado yesterday is unacceptable.

He is once again failing to be a leading voice against antisemitism when it matters most.

It’s more of the same & shameful," the Senate GOP posted Monday.

The Colorado incident saw an Egyptian national, allegedly a visa overstay, shout "free Palestine" and use a flamethrower to attack participants in a vigil for Israeli hostages in Gaza.

Though Ossoff did condemn an unrelated antisemitic attack in late May, he does not appear to have publicly commented on the Colorado incident as of press time.
