Trump downplays talk with Musk during Charlie Kirk memorial service

President Donald Trump on Monday downplayed speculation about a reunion with former Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) head Elon Musk after the pair were spotted speaking to one another at Charlie Kirk's memorial service.
The pair both attended the service in Arizona, which saw tens of thousands of people fill a stadium to honor the late Turning Point USA founder, who was assassinated earlier this month.
“Well, Elon came over and said hello. No, it’s nothing to do with that," Trump told reporters. “I thought it was nice, he came over, we had a little conversation... We had a very good relationship, but it was nice that he came over.”

The pair have since settled their grievances, though Musk does not appear poised for a return to the White House.
