IDF to begin airdropping aid into Gaza on Saturday night

The Israeli Defense Forces said it would begin airdropping aid into Gaza on Saturday night. 

Humanitarian corridors are going to be established for convoys from the United Nations, according to The Associated Press.

"Aerial airdrops of aid will resume," the IDF wrote in a statement on X. "The airdrop includes 7 pallets of aid containing flour, sugar, and canned food."

This statement comes after international criticism of Palestinians being starved amid the ongoing war between Israel and Hamas.

The IDF denied the claims that there is starvation in Gaza. 

"The IDF emphasizes that there is no starvation in Gaza; this is a false campaign promoted by Hamas," the statement continued. "Responsibility for food distribution lies with the UN & international aid organizations. Therefore, the UN and international organizations are expected to improve the effectiveness of aid distribution and to ensure that the aid does not reach Hamas."
