Hegseth announces creation of new Defense Policy Board, with Lighthizer as chair

Secretary of War Pete Hegseth on Monday announced the establishment of a new Defense Policy Board, as well as the appointment of its members.
Former U.S. Trade Representative Robert Lighthizer will serve as the board's chairman, with former Sen. Norm Coleman, R-Minn., serving as vice chairman.
The panel was first created in 1985 and serves as an advisory body to key Pentagon decision makers.
Billionaire Marc Andreessen, former Trump administration Director of Policy Planning Michael Anton, and Conservative Partnership Institute Vice President Rachel Bovard were also appointed.
The remaining appointees include The Honorable Tom P. Feddo, The Honorable Mike J. Garcia, Mr. Kenneth P. Jones, Mr. Blake G. Masters, Mr. Daniel P. McCarthy, Dr. Michael P. Pillsbury, Adm. (Ret) Chas A. Richard, Mr. Francis P. Sempa, Mr. Christopher A. Williams, and Mr. Theo J. Wold
