The FBI, Army and local law enforcement coordinated to raid a home in Washington state that had weapons, Nazi paraphernalia, and armor.

Thurston County Sheriff Derek Sanders posted on Facebook on Tuesday photos of the raided residence, explaining that the U.S. Army Criminal Investigation Division on Monday asked for his office's "assistance with the execution of a warrant on an address in the City of Lacey as a result of a violent robbery and theft of military weaponry/armor. The suspects identified in this case were actively involved in Nazi White Nationalist efforts."

Lacey, Wash., is near the state capital of Olympia.

The warrant was executed by FBI SWAT, which seized "short barrel rifles, an MG42 machine gun, grenade launchers, explosives, body armor, ammunition, and ballistic helmets surrounded by Nazi paraphernalia," Sanders said. "Multiple rifles were staged at windows throughout the residence.

He also said two suspects were apprehended and booked into Thurston County Jail on firearm related offenses, with additional federal charges likely to be filed at the completion of the federal investigation.

The suspects went to court on the local firearm charges, and bail was set at $500,000 each.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office in Seattle told The Associated Press on Tuesday the search warrant was related to an FBI and Army CID investigation into an assault that occurred on Sunday at Joint Base Lewis-McCord, just north of Olympia. The Army had identified the suspects in the assault and the FBI executed the search warrant overnight from Monday into Tuesday.

The FBI told the AP that its Seattle office was “assisting our partners Thurston County Sheriff’s Office and Army Criminal Investigation Division” and referred questions to them.

A federal criminal complaint is expected to be unsealed Wednesday, when the two suspects are also supposed to make their initial appearances at U.S. District Court in Tacoma.
