Commerce Secretary Lutnick says Trump wants to abolish taxes for those making under $150,000
Trump's plan got support from Georgia GOP Rep. Mike Collins.
Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick says President Donald Trump wants to eliminate taxes for Americans who make less than $150,000 a year.
Lutnick said in a CBS interview Tuesday that he knows Trump's goal is "no tax, for anybody who makes less than $150,000 a year."
"That's his goal," he continued. "That's what I'm working for."
Lutnick made similar comments Thursday on the Fox News Channel and called the plan "aspirational."
Trump also successfully campaigned for reelection on abolishing taxes on tips and overtime.
He's gotten support from Georgia GOP Rep. Mike Collins.
"No taxes for people who make less than $150,000/yr is the supercharge this economy needs to IGNITE," he wrote on the social media platform, X.
